Restaurant Terms – The View Sweden

Applies to table reservations, catering (pickup/delivery), venue rental, and pre-ordered goods


To ensure a smooth and secure experience for all our guests, we have compiled the terms and conditions that apply to bookings and special orders in the restaurant/café at The View Sweden.


1. Table Reservations

  • Table reservations are recommended for events, larger groups, and during high season (spring/summer/early fall).

  • A reservation is only valid once confirmed by our staff (via phone, SMS, or WhatsApp). If booking by email, please follow up with a call as the message may be missed or end up in the spam folder.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, the table may be offered to other guests.

  • If your group size changes, please inform us at least 24 hours before your booking time.

  • Special events have specific time schedules. Guests arriving late may miss part of the evening without the possibility of a refund.

  • Please cancel your reservation as soon as possible so we can offer the table to someone else. This does not apply to prepaid and confirmed event reservations, where separate terms apply.

2. Catering, Takeaway & Meal Orders (pickup or delivery)

  • Pre-orders for takeaway or catering (pickup or delivery) must be paid in advance according to the agreement at the time of ordering.

  • The order is binding once payment and confirmation have been received.

  • Full refund applies if cancellation is made at least 5 days before the delivery date.

  • Cancellations 2–5 days prior will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable. However, with a valid medical certificate, 80% of the amount will be refunded, and 20% retained as an administrative fee.

  • Missed pickups or late cancellations are fully charged.

  • We prefer that orders are placed by phone. Messages via SMS, email, or social media may be missed, especially during busy hours.

3. Venue Rental

  • The venue can be rented for private gatherings, corporate events, and community meetings.

  • A booking is only valid after written confirmation (via email).

  • The rental amount must be paid in advance as agreed when booking.

  • Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event will be fully refunded.

  • Cancellations 7–13 days before: 50% refund.

  • Cancellations within 7 days: no refund.

  • An additional cleaning fee may apply if the venue is left untidy or with excessive decorations left behind.

  • The renter is responsible for leaving the venue in good condition.

4. Pre-ordered Goods from the Bakery/Shop

  • Orders for pastries, gift boxes, beverages, or other products must be placed at least 2 days in advance.

  • Payment is made at the time of order or as agreed upon for pickup.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Missed pickups or late cancellations will be fully charged.

5. General Information

  • Please inform us of any dietary requirements, allergies, or other needs when booking.

  • Menu items and prices may vary depending on season and availability.

  • We strongly prefer bookings and orders via phone during restaurant opening hours. If contact is made via SMS or WhatsApp when the restaurant is closed, replies may take up to 48 hours.

  • If contact is made via email, we recommend following up with a phone call, as emails can be missed or end up in spam.

  • The View Sweden reserves the right to cancel bookings in cases of force majeure, staff illness, technical issues, or similar. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

  • We are not responsible for delays, damages, or failed deliveries caused by factors beyond our control, such as traffic, delivery disruptions, power outages, or illness.

  • In the event of late or missed payments, we reserve the right to charge interest in accordance with the Interest Act and an administrative reminder fee. Bookings may be cancelled if payment is not received.

  • For catering deliveries, the customer is responsible for being present at the agreed time and place. If no one is available to receive the order, the full amount will be charged.

  • The View Sweden complies with Swedish alcohol laws. Valid ID is required when ordering alcoholic beverages.

  • Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and is only used to administer your booking or purchase. Information will not be shared with third parties.
